Around 5 hours. Stage-1 machine polish followed by protection.
Stage-1 machine polish to remove swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation. Restore depth and clarity to your paintwork.
We measure your paint thickness with an electronic gauge. We never polish below safe levels.
Pre-rinse, snow foam, two-bucket hand wash. Clay-bar treatment to remove all bonded contaminants.
Trim, badges, rubber seals, and headlight surrounds masked off to protect from polish residue.
We polish a small section first to confirm the right pad/compound combination for your paint.
Aggressive cutting compound on a foam pad — removes 60-80% of swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation.
Finer polish on a soft pad — removes hologramming and brings up the gloss. Paint inspected with handheld light.
Isopropyl alcohol wipe-down to strip oils and reveal the true finished paint underneath.
Final inspection in direct light. Light sealant applied to lock in the result.
It removes the top fraction of clear coat that's scratched, swirled or oxidised — revealing the smooth, glossy paint underneath. The result is a deeper, more reflective finish.
Stage 1 removes swirl marks and light scratches you can't catch with a fingernail. Deeper scratches need multi-stage correction (more expensive). Send us a photo on WhatsApp for an honest assessment.
Yes — single-stage polishing only removes 1-2 microns of clear coat. Most cars have 50+ microns. We measure paint thickness before starting on darker or older cars.
The correction itself is permanent. The gloss and protection lasts 6-12 months, longer with regular Wash & Protect top-ups. Pair with our Wash & Protect service for ongoing maintenance.
Yes — it's a mobile service. We need a flat, dry, shaded area (not direct sun) and around 5-6 hours uninterrupted. Driveway or covered parking works perfectly.
Stage-1 removes swirl marks, light scratches, and oxidation. Deep scratches that have gone through the clear coat need touch-up paint or Stage-2/3 correction. We'll assess on arrival and tell you honestly.
The correction itself is permanent — once swirls are removed, they're gone. Without protection, normal washing reintroduces swirls within 6-12 months. Pair with a ceramic coating or Wash & Protect for long-term gloss.
Yes — we measure paint thickness before and during the polish. We never go below safe levels (typically 100 microns). Modern factory paint can take 5-10 corrections in its lifetime.
Paint Correction is the polish only — £350+. Ultimate Detail bundles paint correction with Full Clean and a 2-year ceramic coating — £500+. If you want lasting protection, Ultimate Detail is better value.
You can see the swirls in sunlight. Years of automatic car washes, dirty mitts, and improper drying leave visible swirl marks — circular fine scratches that catch the light. Paint correction removes them at the source by gently levelling the clear coat.
The paint looks dull. Oxidation, water spots, and contamination dull paint over time. Polishing removes that hazy top layer to reveal the deeper, glossier paint underneath.
Before selling — protect your value. Paint correction can add real value to a private sale. Buyers notice gloss. We've prepped many cars for sale across London, often paying for itself in the higher offer.
Special occasion or new ownership. Just bought a used car and want it looking factory-fresh? Paint correction strips away the previous owner's wear and tear. Combined with a Wash & Protect afterwards, you'll keep the result for months.
