Black or green mould on the seats, carpets or headlining? We kill it at the source with steam and antimicrobial treatment — and tell you what caused it, so it doesn't just come back. Most cars sorted in 4-8 hours.
Mould isn't a dirt problem, it's a moisture problem. Wiping the visible black patches off the seats does nothing — the spores are alive in the fabric and foam underneath, and they'll bloom again within days. To actually get rid of it you have to kill the spores at the root and stop the water that's feeding them. That's the job we do.
In nearly every car we treat, the cause is one of: a perished door or sunroof seal letting rain in, a blocked drainage channel under the windscreen or in the sills, wet mats or clothing left in the footwell, or the car being stored damp over winter with the windows shut. We'll point you at the likely culprit. If you don't fix it, no amount of cleaning will keep the mould away.
Mould jobs vary enormously. A couple of spotty seats is a different job to a fully contaminated cabin with mould in the headlining and boot. We won't quote blind — partly for honesty (we don't want to lowball you then add costs on the day) and partly because we don't want to scare you off with a worst-case number when yours might be at the cheaper end.
Light surface mould on one or two seats: £180–£250. Moderate, across multiple panels or the headlining: £280–£400. Severe, heavily contaminated with multiple sources: £400–£600. Send photos for an exact figure.

Steam treatment kills mould spores in the fabric, not just on the surface.

Send Joe a few photos of the affected area on WhatsApp. He'll come back within minutes with a fixed price, how long it'll take, and what we expect to fully fix versus what might be permanent.
💬 WhatsApp JoeIt depends on coverage and severity. Light surface mould on one or two seats: £180-£250. Moderate (multiple panels, headlining): £280-£400. Severe (heavily contaminated, multiple sources): £400-£600. We always quote after seeing photos.
Not if the source is fixed. We treat with antimicrobial to prevent regrowth — but if water keeps coming in, the mould will too. We'll tell you what we think the source is so you can fix the leak first.
Almost always trapped moisture. A leaking door or sunroof seal, a blocked drainage channel, wet clothing or mats left in the car, or storing the car damp over winter. The mould is the symptom — the water is the cause.
Mould spores in an enclosed cabin can irritate airways and trigger allergies and asthma, especially in children. It's worth dealing with properly rather than just wiping the visible patches, which leaves spores behind.
Most mould jobs are done in 4-8 hours depending on severity. If ozone treatment is needed for deep smell, the cabin needs 2-3 hours vacated afterwards.
Mould often comes with other interior problems. We handle those too.
