Professional steam-based engine bay clean. Removes dust, dirt and grime from visible engine components. Top-only or full with undercarriage rinse — both available.
An Engine Bay Clean uses safe steam and detailing products to lift dust, dirt and light grime from your engine bay — the visible components, the underside of the bonnet, and (if booked) the undercarriage.
It's done with no high-pressure water near electronics, no harsh chemicals, and no shortcuts. The result: a factory-finish look under the bonnet that makes your car instantly more saleable, and easier to inspect for fluid leaks or wear.
Two versions: top only (£60, 45 mins) covers the engine bay and bonnet underside. With undercarriage rinse (£85, 1hr 15) adds a flush of the underside to remove road grime, salt and winter deposits.
Steam-safe, electronics-safe, factory-finish. Pre-sale prep, MOT prep, or just because you want it clean.
Steam-based, no high-pressure water near sensitive components. Top-only or with undercarriage rinse.
Engine must be cool. We inspect for any exposed sensors, intake openings, or vulnerable components, and mask anything sensitive.
Hot vapour steam at 110°C breaks down grease, oil residue, and road grime safely without flooding electronics.
Soft brushes work into crevices, on hose surfaces, and around the rocker covers. No abrasive contact.
Add £25 — controlled rinse of the undercarriage. Removes road salt, mud, and grime to prevent corrosion.
Engine bay plastics dressed with non-greasy protective dressing. Restores black trim, prevents UV fade.
All-inclusive. No travel charge within Greater London. Small surcharge may apply for surrounding counties — confirmed before booking.
"Booked engine bay clean before selling my BMW. Joe did a brilliant job — bay looks factory fresh, dealer commented on it. Worth every penny for the resale boost."
Yes — when done properly. Steam at the right pressure and temperature lifts grime without forcing water into electronics or sensitive areas. We use professional steam equipment, not high-pressure jets, and we know which areas to avoid.
High-pressure water can force moisture into electrical connectors, sensors, and ECU components. Modern engines have a lot of vulnerable electronics. Steam cleans without that risk — same finish, none of the damage.
Top-only (£60) is engine bay + bonnet underside, 45 minutes. Undercarriage upgrade (£85) adds a rinse of the underside of the car — useful in winter when road salt builds up, or before an MOT. The upgrade takes the total to about 1 hour 15.
Yes, significantly. A clean engine bay signals a well-maintained car. Buyers and dealers expect it. It can add £100–£500 to perceived value on a private sale, especially on premium vehicles.
Yes — we're comfortable with classic, supercar and modified engine bays. Mention what you have when booking and we'll bring the right products. We're extra careful around carbs, exposed electronics, and rare/sensitive components.
Engine should be cool — please run it cold or at least lukewarm before we arrive. Hot engines can cause some products to flash off too fast, and we don't want to risk thermal shock on hot components.
Free cancellation more than 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours, late cancellations are non-refundable.
Yes. We use steam, not high-pressure water. We mask sensitive components first. We've cleaned engine bays on Teslas, BMWs, Audis, supercars — never an issue.
Top-only takes around 45 minutes. Add the undercarriage rinse and it's around 1 hour 15 minutes total.
Yes — a clean engine bay is an MOT plus and can add real perceived value at sale. Many of our customers book this before listing their car for sale.
